Eliq Secures €10 Million Funding for European Expansion in Home Energy Efficiency
Swedish software innovator Eliq has triumphantly closed a €10 million growth funding round, bolstered by support from current investor Inven Capital and newcomers Axpo and Valkea, Fortum’s venture arm. Both Axpo and Valkea are longstanding partners of Eliq’s existing clientele. Combined with additional debt financing, this investment is poised to propel Eliq’s home energy efficiency platform into new territories across Europe.
Eliq’s Home Energy Efficiency platform empowers various sectors, including utilities, banks, and smart home providers, to furnish customers with vital energy data, fostering informed decisions for more sustainable household energy use. Launched in 2016 by energy experts and software entrepreneurs, Eliq’s platform is instrumental in fast-tracking the shift towards sustainable home energy practices. It facilitates businesses in offering customers solutions to interpret energy data, provide guidance on energy-efficient practices, and facilitate upgrades and green financing.
Håkan Ludvigson, CEO and Co-founder of Eliq, emphasized the need to harness Open Energy Data, stating, “We want to empower 1 billion individuals to be part of the home energy transition for a greener and more affordable energy future.”
This funding marks a significant milestone, bringing Eliq’s total funding to €19 million since its inception. The company aims to aggressively expand its sales and marketing initiatives while accelerating product development, maintaining its commitment to a greener and more cost-effective energy future.
