New York City-based Redactable, a provider of an AI-driven web application designed to safeguard sensitive documents, has successfully raised $5.5 million in a recent Seed funding round.

The funding initiative was spearheaded by Gradient Ventures and saw participation from Wocstar Fund, existing pre-seed investors, and notable angel investors. Redactable, led by Founder and CEO Amanda Levay, plans to utilize the raised capital to expand its market reach, enhance visibility, and optimize operational capabilities.

Redactable’s web-based platform is engineered to redact confidential documents seamlessly from any browser. The proprietary software utilizes cutting-edge Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning (NLP/ML) technology to automatically identify sensitive information in documents, offering secure redaction, document scrubbing, and AI-driven workflows.

This funding round follows more than a year after Redactable secured an initial $1.3 million in pre-seed funding. Key contributors to the platform’s launch in July 2022 included Everywhere Ventures, Hustle Fund, Revelry, and Stony Lonesome Group.
